Beyond a Reasonable Doubt 2009

Beyond a Reasonable Doubt 2009

Surprise surprise, another movie about dirty cops, dirty lawyers, and overall corruption in the government. The real surprise was that Beyond a Reasonable Doubt was actually fairly decent. Reporter CJ Nicholas’ (Jesse Metcalfe) plan to expose district attorney Mark Hunter (Michael Douglas) for planting dna evidence in order to obtain convictions in 17 murder cases is actually quite ingenious and even believable.

While the performance from the main characters (and by main characters, I mean all the actors whose names and faces you might actually recognize. Jesse Metcalfe, Amber Tamlyn, Joel Moore, Michael Douglas, and Orlando Jones) was really good, a lot of the supporting characters sounded like they were reading off of cue cards. I know they weren’t very important to the story, but they were bad enough to stick in my mind, even after the great, unexpected twist at the end. Your average high school play participant could have provided a more believable performance.

Overall tho, this movie had me eagerly waiting for the next tidbit of information, and even had me guessing, incorrectly, about what was coming next. While I’m still trying to decide if this film is actually worth purchasing, it is definitely worth watching once or twice, if for no other reason, it does have a couple of beautiful faces in it that make it worthwhile.

Possession 2009 Review

Possession 2009

Possession 2009

Do not even get me started on this movie. It just did not even really have anything interesting going on here. The only real reason I saw this movie is because someone had suggested or some shit like that. Well I got a couple of words SHITTY MOVIE. That is being a little bit dramatic because in all honesty it really is not that bad. The acting was ok and the story progressed easily. It was just to simple and extremely predictable.

Possession is a movie that is essentially all about love. This is exemplified in the beginning of the movie where this couple is apparently living the dream with the husband being PERFECT. The only draw back is that his brother a total screw up that can never do anything right because he sucks dick. Anyways, the wife Jes (Sarah Michelle Gellar) pisses the brother Roman off so he storms off like a little bitch. Eventually leading to a freak car accident with his brother on the Golden Gate Bridge. You get the gist put the rest together.

Like I said the movie is super predictable and I positive that any retard could figure out what is going on here. Its like that moment when you think, “I see what you did” and you have little smirk while saying it. Its that same feeling. It is a clean movie so far as the acting and the flow of the story. So long as you can get over that you know what will happen next it is bearable to watch. Go see this shit yourself and tell me that I am a dumb ass for saying what I have just said.

The Blind Side 2009 Review

The Blind Side 2009

The Blind Side 2009

The good old American true story. The thing about The Blind Side is that it really does follow mostly what happened to this young man. Obviously some things in the movie are glammed up for Hollywood but generally this is actually what happened to Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron). The Blind Side is about a young African American boy that has an extreme talent for sports but not such a hot streak for school. He basically had no parents and grew up in the “ghetto” until this woman Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock) has a change of heart and wants to take him in.

For the most part this was a touching and inspiring story. I have no problem with this movie and really did enjoy watching. Not only did this movie check out on the true story area but it is a story that is still continuing today as we speak. The emotions that The Blind Side provokes is something that can not be faked and only makes you feel like a real person. The acting in the movie was pretty good considering who was in it: Tim McGraw, Lily Collins, and Kathy Bates.

I strongly recommend this as a movie to watch. If you can get past the stupid accent that Sandra Bullock has it really is a great movie to go see. As always though go see it for yourself and make an opinion about it yourself.
