Going along with the theme from yesterday I am bringing back another comedy/stoner movie. Knocked Up was one of those movies that you just saw the previews and said “WTF?! Why do they make this shit?”. I waited all the way until this came on one of the premium channels on the satellite (HBO, Stars?). Well I was a dumb ass and should have watched this movie as soon as I could.
The movie centers around this guy, Ben Stone (Seth Rogen), who is a big time stoner that is trying to make it big with this genius idea of a porn website that features nude areas in famous films. On top of that he is basically a loser because of this and only gets laid far and few in between. The other side of the film is centered around this hot chick, Alison Scott (Katherine Heigl), that has an amazing career but has no life outside of work. Her and her sister, Debbie (Leslie Mann), decide to go out on the town to get away from Debbie’s husband, Peter (Paul Rudd), and kids. What happens after that is some of that is some of the funniest stuff I have ever seen a romantic comedy. Yes I said it, this IS a romantic comedy. Do not let that fool you like it fooled me, this film features some ass people: Kristen Wiig, Alan Tudyk, Harold Ramis, Jonah Hill, Martin Starr, Jason Segel, and Jay Baruchel.
So please go see this movie if you have not seen it by now. You will laugh your ass off at this one. It is filled with classic lines. Plus if you have ever gotten high in your life, it will be ten times funnier. Do not let the romantic comedy feel of the movie fool you, these guys do not make it seem like it is one.

Yes I know this is not exactly the newest or best movie around but I wanted to bring this gem back in to the spot light today. By now if you are a big time stoner or hang out with stoner buddies you have probably seen this movie about 600 times and no I am not exaggerating.
Pineapple Express was a totally unique film that incorporated not only good ol’ stoner antics but action, crime, and just straight up hilarious moments. It had also put the job of “serving papers” as the number 1 job for many stoners and lazy retards alike. Do not get me wrong I seriously thought about going and applying for the job when I saw the movie, even went as far as calling lawyers to see if there were any openings.
The film starts out with Dale Denton (Seth Rogan) smoking some bud and serving papers. He eventually goes to see his “dealer”/friend Saul Silver (James Franco) to fill up his stash and get high. So they proceed to smoke this extremely rare bud called “Pineapple Express”. Some antics ensue and then Dale Denton is off to do his job. Later that night he is going to serve papers to this guy and ends up being a witness to a murder committed by a crooked cop and the biggest drug lord around. He throws his roach out the window and the whole story starts from there. There are some extremely funny parts that come out of this movie and include the likes of Bill Hader, Danny McBride, Amber Heard, Ed Begley Jr., Rosie Perez, Craig Robinson, and Gary Cole.
So please I beg you go see this movie. You WILL laugh your ass off. Plus there is some SWEET action in this movie.

Once again I have confirmed why I am not a fan of Sarah Jessica Parker. Did You Hear About the Morgans? was not exactly the movie you enjoy watching, period. Lots of dry and upsetting acting going on between Sarah Jessica Parker and her co-star Hugh Grant. Do not get me wrong Hugh Grant is not a bad guy but lets be honest he is out of the game. When was the last time he was in a good movie and did a good job, ohh yeah NEVER.
Did You Hear About the Morgans? is your typical romantic comedy. A broken up couple goes through a horrifing event and is forced to spend time together. Guess what happens? Yup you are thinking it right now. Just think of the 500 other romantic comedies that have come out over the past 2 years, it is exactly the SAME. I am not sure why producers, directors, and actors get away with making crap like this. I know its the old method why fix it if it is not broken, well it is FUCKING BROKEN!
Just go see this shit for yourself and you will see what I mean. I actually found myself checking the time while watching this movie to see when it was over. I had to do some important things on the Internet, so time was extremely crucial at that point in my life. Reddit is serious biz these days!
P.S. Here is a mug shot of Hugh Grant from 1995 when he solicited a prostitute.
