Clash of the Titans 2010

Clash of the Titans 2010

Clash of the Titans is obviously a remake of the 1981 film of the same name. If you have seen that one you have pretty much seen this one as well. It is not like they took anything new and put it in this film besides better effects, obviously. No, I did not see this film in 3D. I am not a big fan of the whole 3D craze. I will say this about the 3D: It was post production which would make the movie look like shit. Quite a few people I know did see it in 3D and said it was crap. The extra money to see it in 3D would have been a HUGE waste.

The story of the movie is the same story that has been told for years and by years I mean hundreds if not thousands. Taking in to consideration that this is a remake they did try to spice it up with some dumb jokes and retarded quips. For instance when the 6 or 7 people are about to fight Medusa, Perseus (Sam Worthington) says, “Lets kill this Bitch!” with a smirk. Mean really? Do you have to slaughter Greek mythology with modern day slander like that?

Now you would think that a movie that is supposed to be built around action scenes would have some sort of good action in it right? WRONG, this shit was so confusing and made zero sense at all until the end of the fight scene. Not to mention people die for no reason. If you are going to kill them the people 2 mins in to a fight make them a lesser character not a supporting one. Hey they killed the 2 scorpions NICE! Ohh shit why are there 15 more? Its that type of stuff that made this movie complete crap.

The movie was littered with no name actors and actresses. You can clearly see they were trying to save money on the film and hopefully destroy the box office. Well the succeeded and I feel bad for Liam Neeson playing in this movie. Now he has to be associated with these retards for the rest of his life. The only other mentionable name in the movie would be Sam Worthington but the dude is dumb so no one really cares.

Go see this movie if you dare to. Just do not expect anything of real value from the movie. I was wrong about the action before I saw this. They made it look so enticing but just turned out like crap.

Cop Out 2010 Review

Cop Out 2010

Cop Out 2010

Have you ever watched the trailer or a TV spot for a movies and thought the movie was hella funny only to find out that all the funny parts were in the previews? Well Cop Out is not exactly that movie. Though there are funny parts in the previews, there is a wealth of good comedy in just about every scene that Tracy Morgan in involved in.

I am not sure why the hell Tracy Morgan is so funny but he just comes up some of the funniest shit in the world. You can totally tell that he improved quite a few parts in this movies and to be honest he made the movie. You also have Bruce Willis, which did a decent job, that was just not really funny. He did a good job with the acting but he just did not take it to the next level with any sort of comedy. Now the guy that I thought did his best job in just about any movie he has been in had to be Sean William Scott. This guy was just plain hilarious. By far I thought he did an amazing job for the little part that he did in this movie. Him and Tracy Morgan feed off of each other flawlessly.

The movie itself was not horrible but it just was not that great. There was a part towards the middle that was editted like shit. Not sure what director Kevin Smith was thinking with that part in the movie but it looked like it was from a straight to DVD movie or even a Lifetime movie. The story moved pretty smooth but fell stale when some characters were not involved, i.e. Tracy Morgan. This movie was held up by the comedy involved and brought down by the lame action and the smirk that Bruce Willis has on his face the whole movie, like he is the shit or something.

As always go see it for yourself. Form your own opinion on the movie. I have heard everything from the jokes in the movie sucked and the action was awesome. Obviously I think those people straight retarded but what does it matter what I think?

Repo Men 2010 Review

Repo Men

Repo Men

Did anyone see a movie like this coming? Let alone with a big name or two in it? I would like to say that this was a unique concept and I really did not see it coming. Now that is aside, WTF!? Why the hell man? I know they were trying to pull something off that was not anything that has been done before. I hate to break it to the creators of this movie but what the hell were you thinking? You offered a story that has been told a million times over and over again. Yeah put some crazy futuristic stuff along with bio-limb shit in there you think you have a hit? Screw that complete waste my freakin’ time.

If you have not heard about this movie yet, do not get fooled by how they make it sound. They start the movie off with this troubled family man (Jude Law) that is having difficulty with his marriage to his wife because of his crazy job. Basically his wife does not like him killing people because it is justified with the saying, “A job is a job”. So him and his child hood friend (Forest Whitaker) are basically going around retaining these artificial organs from people that are passed due on their payments. Not to mention as a side note, fuck artificial organs if they are going to cost me a million dollars put a god damn bullet in my head. Eventually Jude Law has a change of heart and says you know what this shit is crazy.

Its not that I really did not like the movie, it was the fact that I feel that about 45 mins of life was wasted on something that did not need to happen. Did the writer not know how to make this shit come out or something? Did they get bored? Did someone fuck up the script half way through? The movie itself did have substance and depth. The characters played well despite the fact that Forest Whitaker was trying to be bad ass. I am just hung up on one thing and it pisses me off. Go see this shit for yourself and make sure that you fill that void with something, maybe some popcorn or even milk duds and a coke.
